Jak uczyć uważnego słuchania – audioedukacja we współpracy z UŁ

What is hearing? What does it do? How does it affect us? How and how much information do we actually remember through our sense of hearing? How do we perceive and learn about the world through it? How to teach children to listen carefully? The answers to these and other questions can be found in the audio education textbook "Słuchaj, aby zrozumieć" [Listen to Understand]. Dr Kinga Sygizman from the Faculty of Philology of the University of Lodz is one of the authors of the textbook, which will be published by the Audionomia Foundation.

Magdalena Świerczyńska-Dolot, a journalist from Radio 357, and Katarzyna Michalak, a reportage journalist also worked on the project. "Słuchaj, aby zrozumieć" is a collection of ready-made scenarios prepared for conducting audio education classes in primary schools. The aim of the project is to provide knowledge and tools to educators, but also to raise awareness of how important audio education is from the first years of education.

The "Słuchaj, aby zrozumieć" textbook is intended to serve as a compendium of knowledge for teachers on audio education. It includes theoretical knowledge and a collection of practical exercises, as well as suggestions for radio plays and sound reportages, which will help introduce sound education classes in kindergartens and primary schools in accordance with the content of the core curriculum.

The book is scheduled to be published at the turn of February and March 2024. Its copies will be delivered free of charge to 3,000 public educational institutions, and free materials for independent use by educators have been published on the website of the Audionomia Foundation.

To obtain the textbook, you must subscribe to the foundation's newsletter (at the bottom of the page) and join the waiting list.
