About us

The Promotion and Communication Office of the Faculty of Philology is responsible for the broadly understood promotional activities of the unit. Every day we make sure that information about what is happening at the Faculty reaches our students and employees, prospective students and other interested people. We inform about ongoing events, the successes of our employees, the achievements of students and graduates, interesting projects and everything related to our Faculty.

Our tasks include:

  • developing, implementing and updating the promotional and communication strategy of the Faculty;
  • managing the Faculty's communication channels - publishing announcements and reports from events and editing current content posted on the Faculty's website; preparing and sending the Faculty's newsletter;
  • managing the Faculty's social media accounts - on Facebook (fanpage and discussion group), Instagram and YouTube;
  • organization of events (e.g. Open Day, Alumni Gala, inauguration of the academic year);
  • exhibition of posters and other advertising materials in the Faculty building;
  • production and editing of promotional and informational video materials (including Instagram Reels, Instagram Stories and videos published on YouTube);
  • preparing graphic materials for events organized by the Dean's Office or the Faculty administration (e.g. inauguration of the academic year, dean's lectures, Alumni Gala, Open Day);
  • supporting the dean's representative for cooperation with schools in activities addressed to prospective students ("University - Always Open" and "Talented at School - Brilliant at the University" programs; leading school tours around the Faculty building);
  • ongoing support in organizational activities during projects implemented by the Business and Employers Council of the Faculty of Philology of the University of Lodz;
  • contacts with the Communications and PR Centre, University of Lodz;
  • designing and ordering promotional merchandise (execution of orders placed by organizers of scientific conferences and basic organizational units of the Faculty);
  • mediation in creating of new logos for units as part of the visual identification of the University of Lodz;
  • support of the University of Lodz Press Office in daily contacts with representatives of local and national media.
